Our baby girl is now more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound -- about the size of a large mango. Her sense of movement is well developed by now and lucky for her, she can feel me dance when I turn up Key$ha on the radio! Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing and her hearing is become more keen. Right now, she can hear what I hear but not quite at the same level (sounds and voices are muffled by the muscles and tissues around my belly).
23 week bump on Thanksgiving morning
Baby girl enjoyed lots of great food while we were home in Maine and I'm pretty sure my bump doubled in size after 6 days of Madre and Memere's cooking. Weight gain for the week is probably equivalent to two loaves of Memere's bread, approximately six slices of pie, and a plate full of turkey and gravy!
I have so much to be thankful for this year including the little girl we are excited to welcome in March, my supportive husband who's going to be a great dad, a healthy pregnancy, and maternity jeans. Don't know what I would have done without them while in Maine!
