We always try to make a trip to see my family in the summer. It's nice to get out of the ridiculous heat and humidity that is a DC summer. The cooler temperatures and slower pace of life always ensure a relaxing little vacation in my home state.
And then there's the fact we get to spend a week with my family! We usually make it up to Maine a few times a year to see my family, but it never seems like enough. This trip I'm really excited about. I haven't seen my family in almost eight months and I haven't had a proper vacation in that time either.
Unlike our trip at Christmas, we are flying not driving so Brownie (our adorable rescue) will be staying with her Grammie and Grandpa at Lake Anna for a few weeks. She was bummed when we told her she wasn't going to be able to make the trip to see her Memere, Aunt Jenny, Uncle Brian and cousins Elsa and Andy but she asked me to share a message with all of them.
I'm going to be a Big Sister!! Baby Wotring is coming in March 2014! (lick lick)
That's right. We are having a baby! And we couldn't be more excited!
Eight weeks down, thirty-two more to go....
